Standard Duty .063” is our standard gauge of diamond plate and is commonly used by truck box manufacturers. This diamond plate is the “real thing!” and is made from 100% polished aluminum and finished with a smooth rear surface. This diamond tread plate works great for protecting walls, covering cabinets, benches, and any other diamond plate application you can think of where you need a solid piece of aluminum diamond plate. Installation: Standard Duty .063” aluminum diamond plate installation is easy using caulking adhesives such as Loctite (PL Premium or PL Premium Advanced) or Liquid Nails (Mable & Granite.) These and other types of adhesives should be available at your local hardware store, and applied correctly will allow you to easily bond your polished aluminum diamond plate to a wide variety of common building materials such as drywall, metal, concrete, wood, brick, or fiberglass. If you are installing larger pieces of diamond plate and need more rigid support we suggest using mechanical fasteners in addition to an adhesive. This thicker .063” diamond plate may require drilling small pilot holes if you plan to use screws to fasten this diamond plate. Screws should be selected and sized to accommodate your specific design. If you are designing a smaller diamond plate project, and need to bond diamond plate directly to diamond plate specialty adhesives like gorilla glue may be your best option.
